abstract An aqueous disinfectant mainly composed of hypobromous acid is efficiently produced while suppressing the production of bromic acid as much as possible. In a hypobromite disinfectant production apparatus 20 for producing a hypobromite disinfectant from ozone and bromide, a pH adjuster 15 for adjusting the pH of a bromine ion solution is provided, and the inside of a dissolution tank 12 is provided. The pH of the bromine ion solution is adjusted to 5 or lower. In addition, a disinfectant pH adjusting device 31 is provided to adjust the pH of the hypobromite disinfectant generated and stored in the disinfectant generating and storing device 16 to pH 6 or less.
