PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible film type dye-sensitized photocell having a high purity porous semiconductor film formed by low temperature film formation, thereby having high energy conversion efficiency and excellent mechanical stability. In a film-type photovoltaic cell having a structure in which a transparent conductive plastic support carrying a dye-sensitized porous semiconductor particle layer is used as one electrode and a counter electrode is laminated on the transparent conductive plastic support via an ionic conductive electrolyte.
