titleOfInvention | Method for producing carboxymethylcellulose |
abstract | The present invention provides a method for reducing the amount of organic solvent remaining in crude CMC, and in particular for reducing the residual amount of methanol to 1000 ppm or less. In addition, since CMC is colored during high-temperature treatment, a method for preventing coloration by low-temperature treatment is provided. The method includes the step of adding 2 to 7% by weight of water of the carboxymethyl cellulose to the carboxymethyl cellulose containing the residual organic solvent, and removing the organic solvent remaining in the carboxycellulose by heat of hydration. It is a manufacturing method. Prior to the water addition step, it is preferable to warm the carboxymethyl cellulose containing the residual organic solvent to 40 to 90 ° C. [Selection figure] None |
