titleOfInvention HCV regulatory protein
abstract A method useful for the treatment and diagnosis of HCV infection is provided. In particular, a host cell-derived factor that can be a target of the therapeutic agent is specified, and a predictive marker for prognosis of infection, and a screening method for a compound that modulates the activity or expression of the target are provided. It has been found that at least one polypeptide consisting of a specific amino acid sequence selected from HCV replicon regulatory polypeptides derived from host cells is useful as a target for anti-HCV drug and a prognostic predictor. Moreover, while showing the method of evaluating the compound which modulates the activity or expression in vitro, it presented as a pharmaceutical and a diagnostic kit. [Effect] It is possible to provide a therapeutic or diagnostic agent for HCV infection. [Selection figure] None
