titleOfInvention | Synthesis method of hexanitrohexaazai soultitan |
abstract | A novel method for synthesizing hexanitrohexaazai soultitan (HNIW), a compound for use as an energy filler in explosives, propellants and explosives. Starting from a primary amine, hexanitrohexaazai soultitan is synthesized in two stages. This method involves the first stage of the reaction of an α, β-dicarbonyl derivative with a primary amine that enables the formation of a hexa-substituted hexaazaisoultitan derivative. Subsequently, HNIW is obtained directly in a single reaction stage by nitration of a hexa-substituted hexaazaisoultitan derivative. [Effect] Such a two-stage process starting from primary amines is particularly simple and inexpensive. [Selection figure] None |
