titleOfInvention | Display device and electrodeposition type display device |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent concentration of an electric field at a predetermined portion of an electrode in a display device using an electrochemical change due to application of an electric field, and to realize uniform image display and repeated display characteristics. In a display device using an electrochemical change caused by application of an electric field, a transparent substrate (11) having a transparent electrode (12) and a counter substrate (15) having a counter electrode (16) facing the transparent electrode. And a display layer (18) that is sandwiched between the transparent substrate and the counter substrate and changes in response to an electric current, and the transparent substrate is disposed in a partial region of the transparent electrode and more electrically than the transparent electrode. It has an auxiliary electrode (13) having a low resistance and an insulating film (14) covering the auxiliary electrode, and the surface electrical resistance of the area where the auxiliary electrode is arranged is that of the transparent electrode in the area where the auxiliary electrode is not arranged. It is equal to or greater than the surface electrical resistance. [Selection] Figure 2 |
