titleOfInvention | FUEL CELL ELECTRODE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND FUEL CELL USING THE SAME |
abstract | The present invention provides a fuel cell electrode that deposits a metal catalyst on a portion that effectively contributes to an electrode reaction, enhances the utilization efficiency of the metal catalyst, and operates stably over a long period of time even at high temperatures. Further, the present invention provides a fuel cell electrode that is low in cost and has high heat resistance and high dimensional stability. SOLUTION: Particles 1 comprising a metal-oxygen crosslinked structure are included, acid groups are introduced on the surface of the particles, and a metal catalyst is included on the surface of the particles of the structure in which the particles form a continuum. A fuel cell made by focusing attention on the fact that the metal particles 3 are deposited, the oxidation-reduction reaction of the acid groups on the particle surface is promoted and the proton conductivity, the electron conductivity and the heat resistance are compatible. An electrode for conductive use, comprising a conductive porous body 4, a crosslinked structure containing a metal-oxygen bond having at least a part of an acid group, and a metal catalyst deposited on the surface of the crosslinked structure Metal particles 3.
