abstract A cis-1,3-pentadiene in a naphtha C5 fraction containing cyclopentene and cis-1,3-pentadiene is reacted with dienophile and Diels-Alder, and the reaction product obtained is separated. Cis-1,3-pentadiene is separated from cyclopentene. [Effect] Cyclopentene can be efficiently obtained with high purity from a naphtha C5 fraction containing cyclpentene and cis-1,3-pentadiene.
