abstract | Provided is a functional food containing cat's claw having a neutral fat reducing action, a blood sugar level reducing action, a leukocyte increasing action and an HDL-C raising action. An extract of cat's claw is extracted after adding hydrous alcohol to a dried product of cat's claw and immersing it. The solution extracted from the extract of cats claw is spray-dried to obtain a cats claw extract powder as a powder. By ingesting cats claw extract powder, it is possible to expect a triglyceride reducing effect, a blood glucose level reducing effect, a leukocyte increasing effect and an HDL-C increasing effect.
