abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a flame retardant cylinder that can be used while being held in hand, prevents the scattering of high-temperature combustion residues generated during combustion, and has no risk of fire spread. SOLUTION: A flame emitting cylinder main body 1 is placed in the center of an outer cylinder container 2, and a hydrophilic substance (for example, casein, gelatin or the like) absorbed in the gap between the flame cylinder main body 1 and the inner surface of the outer cylinder container 2 is used. A heat insulating material 3 made of at least one selected from the group consisting of water-soluble natural polymers, cellulose derivatives such as sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium polyacrylate, etc.), rock wool, alumina, calcium silicate, and silica is filled.
