titleOfInvention | Aqueous pigment dispersion and aqueous pigment recording liquid |
abstract | [PROBLEMS] To provide a stable dispersion with a high degree of dispersibility even under a history of high temperature, high dispersibility, even under environmental conditions such as exposure to light when used in the preparation of an aqueous pigment recording liquid. Disclosed is an aqueous pigment dispersion of a condensed azo pigment that retains excellent print quality. An aqueous pigment dispersion of a condensed azo pigment comprising a condensed azo pigment and an anionic group-containing non-crosslinkable organic polymer compound, wherein dispersed particles are finely dispersed in an aqueous medium with an average particle size of 200 nm or less. The absorbance at the 350-450 nm absorption maximum of a 25-fold diluted supernatant of the supernatant when centrifuged at 165,000 G with a non-volatile content (mass conversion) of 20% of the dispersed particles is 1.50 or less. An aqueous pigment dispersion of a condensed azo pigment to be prepared, and an aqueous pigment recording liquid prepared using the aqueous pigment dispersion to a pigment content of 1 to 8% in terms of mass.
