titleOfInvention | White blood cell production method |
abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide a new method for inducing differentiation of leukocytes from cells containing at least one selected from hematopoietic stem cells and hematopoietic progenitor cells by in vitro culture, and in particular to provide a method using a notch ligand. To. It is another object of the present invention to provide a technique for producing a specific leukocyte cell, that is, a lymphocyte progenitor cell and a myeloid progenitor cell, by using a specific notch ligand. A method for producing leukocytes comprising culturing cells containing at least one selected from hematopoietic stem cells and hematopoietic progenitor cells in the presence of Notch ligand protein to induce differentiation into leukocytes. Differentiation can be induced in lymphocytes using Delta-1 or Jagged-1 as the Notch ligand protein, and differentiation can be induced in myeloid cells using Delta-4 as the Notch ligand protein.
