titleOfInvention Cathode active material for non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery and method for producing the same
abstract The present invention provides a method capable of producing LiCoO 2 used as a positive electrode active material of a non-aqueous secondary battery from cobalt oxide having various crystal shapes and particle size distributions as LiCoO 2 having a target particle size. SOLUTION: A spherical or plate-like cobalt oxide having an arbitrary particle size distribution is composed of primary particles having a particle diameter of 1 μm or less, and particles having a fillet diameter of 1 μm or less are included as a particle size distribution including secondary particles. It grind | pulverizes to the particle size which occupies 50% or more of the whole volume, and a particle | grain with a fillet diameter of 5 micrometers or more occupies 1% or less of the whole volume. Furthermore, it is desirable to use a dry jet mill for the pulverization. [Selection] Figure 1
