A simultaneous superpulse Q-switched CO2 laser system for material processing is disclosed. The system includes a sealed folded waveguide having a holder mirror coated with a film that selects the output wavelength of the laser. The system further connects to a plurality of reflective devices forming a cavity, a gain medium disposed within the cavity to generate a laser beam, a cavity loss modulator that modulates the laser beam to produce one or more pulses, and a cavity loss modulator. A pulse signal generating system for transmitting a pulse signal to the cavity loss modulator to control an optical loss state in the cavity, a control unit connected to the pulse signal generating system to control the pulse signal generating system, and a pulse signal A pulse clip circuit is connected to the generation system for receiving a portion of the laser beam and clipping a portion of the laser pulse. |
