abstract |
The present invention provides 25 variants of butyrylcholinesterase with increased cocaine hydrolysis activity, and the corresponding coding nucleic acids. The present invention also provides libraries of butyrylcholinesterase variants and libraries corresponding to nucleic acids encoding the butyrylcholinesterase variants. The present invention further provides methods for hydrolyzing a cocaine-based butyrylcholinesterase substrate, and for treating conditions induced by cocaine. |
