Metal carbonyls are used to release biologically active CO, for example, to suppress vasodilation and post-transplant rejection. As the carbonyl metal, those belonging to the seventh to tenth groups, for example, Fe and Ru are generally used. Further, such carbonyl preferably has one or more ligands other than CO, such as amino acids, in order to adjust the release characteristics and solubility of CO. |
