titleOfInvention | Recognition of tumor-specific gene products in cancer |
abstract | The present invention relates to the field of cancer diagnosis and the application of diagnostic techniques in pathology and hematology. In particular, the present invention relates to a flow cytometry technique for detecting a chromosomal abnormality, and a flow cytometry technique for detecting a tumor-specific gene product expressed only by a tumor cell containing the chromosomal abnormality. The present invention provides a method for detecting chromosomal abnormalities in a biological sample by detecting only tumor-specific gene products using at least two different probes for the gene products. |
