Anhydrous antiperspirant and deodorant compositions containing solid, water-soluble skin actives |
abstract |
About 0.1% to about 30% by weight of an antiperspirant or deodorant active; about 0.1% to about 20% by weight of a water-soluble skin active solid other than the antiperspirant or deodorant active (e.g., Solid and water-soluble vitamins or other nutrients); about 0.1% to about 40% by weight of a suspending agent; and about 10% to about 99% by weight of anhydrous carrier liquid. Antiperspirant and deodorant compositions are disclosed that are substantially free of non-volatile organic liquids having a ClogP value greater than about 7.0. Anhydrous compositions release the water-soluble skin active substance solids more quickly or in some amount into sweat or other moisture on the skin, and are therefore active substances that come into contact with the skin, especially the axillary area of the skin Etc. to improve any of the activation effects. |
