abstract | A method for making a reagent test strip is provided. In the method of the present invention, a test strip precursor formed by an elongate support material having a planar surface and a narrow piece of reagent material disposed along its central axis follows a pattern of interleaved shapes. A plurality of reagent test pieces are cut and manufactured. The initial precursor material may be a tape or a card. Further, the present invention also provides a reagent test strip produced by the method of the present invention and a kit containing the same. These test strips and kits of the present invention have been found to be useful in analyte detection and / or concentration determination assays. |
