abstract | The present invention relates to capillary electrophoresis in a free solution having an alkaline pH for the analysis of biological samples containing protein constituents. The method is characterized by including at least one step of introducing a sample into a capillary tube containing an analysis buffer. The assay buffer is also capable of hydrophobic interaction with one or more protein components, imparting one or more negative charges to the protein component (s) and altering its electrophoretic mobility. Contains additives. The invention also relates to an assay buffer composition for performing the method. |
