titleOfInvention | Optically active polymer having epoxide functional groups, method for producing the same and use thereof |
abstract | The present invention relates to optically active polymers, which can be obtained by free-radical or anionic polymerization of an optically active ethylene monomer having an epoxide function with at least one chiral center and a copolymerizable ethylene monomer. . Examples of such polymers are of the formulas (A), (B), wherein R 0 to R 12 , X, Y 1 and Y 2 , B, * and n are as defined in claim 1 Is an optically active copolymer consisting of two types of repeating units A and B). Another example is an optically active monomer consisting of two types of repeating units A and C, where A is as defined above and C corresponds to formula (C). The polymer may be a transition metal complex in a regioselective catalysis, as a polymer matrix for chiral chromatography, as a polymer support for solid phase synthesis, to immobilize the enzyme, optionally after the epoxide function is cleaved. Useful as ligands for making or as chiral inducers in regioselective catalysts. |
