abstract | The present invention relates to a polyfluorinated fragrance comprising at least three ring substituents, at least one of which comprises a sulfur pentafluoride group and at least one of which comprises a substituent active group. Also provided are aromatic or heterocyclic compounds; methods for their preparation are also disclosed. Preferably, these compounds comprise either two sulfur pentafluoride groups or one sulfur pentafluoride group and one other polyfluorinated group such as a trifluoromethyl group. The substituent activating group preferably comprises an amino, bromo or nitro group. The compounds are useful in the manufacture of a medicament. |
