Aza- and polyaza-naphthalenylcarboxamide derivatives, including certain quinolinecarboxamide and naphthyridinecarboxamide derivatives, have been described as inhibitors of HIV integrase and inhibitors of HIV replication. The compound may be used as a compound or pharmaceutically acceptable salt, or as a pharmaceutical composition component, as appropriate, in combination with other antivirals, immunomodulators, antibiotics or vaccines, to prevent or treat HIV infection and AIDS. Useful in therapy. Methods for preventing, treating or delaying the onset of AIDS and for preventing or treating HIV infection are also described. |
