titleOfInvention | Multipurpose cleaning agent with low organic solvent content |
abstract | A multipurpose cleaning agent for hard surfaces contains a secondary alcohol ethoxylate surfactant, an alkyl polyglycoside surfactant, and water, and optionally a sufficient pH modifier to provide a chelating agent and an alkaline solution. Contains aqueous solutions. The ethoxylate surfactant preferably has an HLB value of 12.2 to 14.6, and each surfactant can make up up to about 5 weight percent of the solution. The solution may be essentially free of organic solvents, such as alkylene glycols or alkylene glycol ethers, or other volatile organic compounds. As a result, the solution can be non-aromatic and, if so desired, colorless. However, optionally, the cleaning solution may include other ingredients, including fragrances, colorants, antimicrobial agents, stabilizers, preservatives, and traces of co-surfactants. |
