titleOfInvention Optical isolator
abstract Provided is an optical isolator having good isolation and insertion loss even for a laser beam having a high power. An optical isolator including a Faraday rotator 1 to which a magnetic field in a central axis direction is applied, and a pair of PBSs 4 opposed to each other via the Faraday rotator 1, wherein sapphire plates 2 are provided on both surfaces of the Faraday rotator 1. Was adhered. Further, instead of the sapphire plate 2, a plate of quartz, germanium, graphite, silicon, silicon nitride, or gallium nitride may be used. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
