| abstract |
A puncture / collection apparatus for accurately collecting a blood sample for analysis with a lancet and a collection point at the same position is provided. A test strip for use in measuring an analyte in a fluid sample is disclosed. The specimen is a base having an upper portion and a lower portion, a collection chamber extending between the upper and lower portions of the base, a receiving ring disposed at the lower portion of the base and surrounding the collection chamber, and fluidly coupled to the collection chamber. A capillary channel formed at the top of the base having an inlet and a test element disposed within the capillary channel. A lid is attached to the top of the base and covers at least a portion of the collection chamber, test membrane and capillary tract. [Selection diagram] None |
