titleOfInvention Idle operation control method and apparatus for engine-driven vehicle
abstract Provided is an idle operation control method that enables an engine-driven vehicle that performs idle stop to promptly recover when the remaining battery capacity is insufficient. A charge current that can flow through the battery is calculated by prohibiting idle stop control when the remaining capacity of the battery is insufficient, and the calculated charge current is supplied to the battery. The engine idling rotation speed required for this is calculated as the target idling rotation speed. While limiting the upper limit value of the target idling rotational speed so that the vehicle does not start moving, idle-up control for increasing the idling rotational speed of the engine 1 to the target idling rotational speed is performed, and the battery is quickly charged.
