abstract Provided is a method for manufacturing an airbag which can be turned over after bonding and is easily positioned. As a method of manufacturing an airbag, a first base cloth portion 11 having a gas inlet 21 and an exhaust port 22 formed therein and a second base cloth portion 12 are formed in a bag shape at a peripheral edge portion 14. After that, the peripheral edge portions 14 of the first and second base fabric portions 11 and 12 are folded back so as to be inside the airbag 1, and a shield coupling portion 33 is provided at a portion separated from the gas inlet 21. The shield coupling portion 33 is provided with a first step of stacking the first and second base fabric portions 11 and 12 in the separating direction, and an intermediate adhesive body on one of the first and second base fabric portions 11 and 12. 30; a third step in which the inner surfaces of the first and second base cloth portions 11 and 12 face each other; and an intermediate adhesive body 30 between the first and second base cloth sections 11 and 12.
