titleOfInvention | Optical communication method and system therefor |
abstract | An optical communication method and a system therefor are provided. A negative measure of an optical signal-to-noise ratio induced by a nonlinear effect in an optical communication system is reduced by a specific measure. The communication system is operated and configured to operate in a pseudo-linear state. Further, an optical phase conjugator is used with an appropriate dispersion map. This combination improves the necessary negative aspect of the optical signal-to-noise ratio due to the non-linear effects as desired. [Selection] Figure 2 |
