abstract [PROBLEMS] To realize a power supply transformer and a reactor that can improve the performance of a magnetic material, obtain excellent magnetic characteristics in a high frequency band, and can be reduced in size and thickness. A power transformer and a reactor include a coil made of a conductor (12, 13) coated with an oxide insulating material (14) embedded in a magnetic powder (11) made of metal particles insulated and coated with ferrite. This is a dust core with a built-in coil (10) obtained by compression molding. The compression molding is preferably heating compression molding. Heat treatment may be performed after compression molding. It is also preferable to perform surface coating on the magnetic core with an insulating coating material. Instead of the magnetic powder (11), an assembly may be performed using an upper magnetic plate and a lower magnetic plate obtained by compressing a magnetic powder material in advance.
