abstract | Kind Code: A1 Abstract: A method of using a potassium aliphatic carboxylate having a hydroxyl group without using potassium 2-ethylhexanoate obtained using 2-ethylhexanoic acid as a raw material as a catalyst, further comprising water and a hydrofluoroalkane. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a polyisocyanurate foam which is excellent in dimensional stability, flame retardancy and adhesiveness while reducing the burden on the environment by using a foaming agent. A method for producing a polyisocyanurate foam, comprising reacting a polyol component and an isocyanate component in the presence of a catalyst containing a potassium aliphatic carboxylate having a hydroxyl group, and a blowing agent containing water and a hydrofluoroalkane. A polyisocyanurate foam obtained by the production method, a building material comprising the polyisocyanurate foam, and a catalyst for producing a polyisocyanurate foam containing a potassium fatty acid carboxylate having a hydroxyl group.
