abstract | The present invention can form a light transmissive image which has high gradation, does not cause discoloration of an image even when used in Schaukasten irradiation, and is excellent in storability in which sticking of a recording medium after printing is suppressed. Provided are an ink set for inkjet recording and a recording method. An ink jet recording ink set independently having a plurality of light and shade inks having the same hue and different color material concentrations, wherein each ink contains a color material, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water. Wherein the first ink is a dark ink, the ink contains a volatile and low-volatile organic solvent, and 50% by mass or more of the total solvent is a volatile solvent, and the second ink is a light ink.
