titleOfInvention Grain refinement method for magnesium alloy castings
abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for refining crystal grains of a magnesium alloy casting, which can reduce energy cost and promote refining of a crystal structure without generating dioxins. SOLUTION: In a magnesium alloy melt 11 containing aluminum (Al) and manganese (Mn), graphite (C) powder and manganese dioxide (MnO 2 ) are contained in a metal capsule 4 made of an aluminum alloy or a magnesium alloy. By adding it, the crystal grains of the cast structure are refined. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
