abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a method for measuring the number of living cells, which can repeatedly measure the number of cells in culture in real time, and a cell culture apparatus using the method. A cell culture is performed by supplying a medium to a cell culture module, and a mediator is supplied to the cell culture module from a culture channel that supplies the medium to the cell culture module during the culture, and the mediator is reduced by the mediator. The flow path was switched to a measurement flow path for measuring the number of living cells, and the number of living cells was measured. [Selection] Figure 2
