abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner and a manufacturing method capable of faithfully developing a latent image and reproducing a high-quality full-color image. SOLUTION: A toner composition containing at least two or more different resins, colorants, and release agents is dissolved or dispersed in an organic solvent, and the dissolved or dispersed product is dissolved in an aqueous medium containing a solid fine particle dispersant. And a step of removing the solvent from the obtained emulsified dispersion to obtain a toner, wherein the emulsification is performed at a pressure of 0.005 MPa to 0.7 MPa in the emulsification step. By doing so, a toner is obtained. The volume average particle diameter (Dv) of the toner is 3 to 10 μm, and the value Dv / Dp obtained by dividing the volume average particle diameter by the number-based number average particle diameter (Dp) obtained from the number distribution is 1.05 to 1.
