titleOfInvention | Method for producing labdenoic acid |
abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing labdenoic acid having a physiological activity beneficial to the human body at an industrial advantage and at low cost. A method for producing labdenoic acid represented by the formula (4), comprising the steps shown in the following (a), (b) and (c). Step (a): a step of converting a compound represented by the formula (1) into a compound represented by the formula (2) using vanadic acids or molybdic acids as a catalyst. Embedded image (In the formula (2), a wavy line represents an E-form or a Z-form, or a mixture of E-form and Z-form, and three dotted lines represent two single bonds and one double bond.) Step (b): a step of converting the compound represented by the formula (2) into an aldehyde compound represented by the formula (3) using a ruthenium-phosphine complex as a catalyst. Embedded image (The wavy line in the formula (2) and the dotted lines in the formulas (2) and (3) represent the same meaning as described above.) Step (c): a step of oxidizing the compound represented by the formula (3) to convert it to labdenoic acid represented by the general formula (4). Embedded image (In the formulas (3) and (4), the dotted lines represent the same meaning as described above.) [Selection diagram] None |
