abstract | An object of the present invention is to provide basic magnesium carbonate-coated composite particles having both characteristics of basic magnesium carbonate and characteristics of other particles, a method for producing the same, and a composition for use containing the same. In the process of producing basic magnesium carbonate, inorganic fine particles are mixed to produce basic magnesium carbonate, and the surface thereof is covered with flaky fine crystals of basic magnesium carbonate to produce basic magnesium carbonate-coated composite particles. I do. The obtained composite particles are composite particles having characteristics such as a high specific surface area, a low bulk density, and a high liquid absorbing property of the basic magnesium carbonate, and various characteristics of the core particles.
