abstract An ink-jet head and an ink-jet printer having a water-repellent film exhibiting high water repellency to an oil-based ink or the like in an orifice and having high abrasion resistance. An ink jet head characterized in that ink is ejected from a nozzle to form an image. The ink jet head has a water repellent film for repelling the ink on the surface of an orifice of the ink jet head. By having a structure in which a portion having a perfluoropolyether chain or a perfluoroalkyl chain is bonded on a layer made of a fluoropolymer resin, it shows high water repellency even to oil-based inks, and has abrasion resistance. It has become possible to provide an inkjet head and an inkjet printer having a high water-repellent film. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
