Method and apparatus for improved application of pharmaceutically active compounds |
abstract |
A method and apparatus for improving drug application by using heat or other physical means. Kind Code: A1 Abstract: A specially designed dermatological drug delivery system 120 relates to a dermal drug delivery system conventionally available on the market or a drug delivered under the skin by injection or other method, wherein the drug is delivered from the dermatological drug delivery system or a depot location. It relates to the use of heat or other physical means to change (mainly increase) the release rate. The housing 122 has a side wall 124 and a top wall 126, and the drug formulation 128 is located inside the housing 122. Preferably, the bottom of DDDS sidewall 124 includes an adhesive 132 for securing DDDS 120 to the patient's skin. [Selection diagram] FIG. |
