abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress excessive expression of an introduced target gene in callus. This will also create a sterile plant. SOLUTION: A gene is introduced into a plant using a vector having the following structural units A and B. A. A DNA sequence comprising P1, an expression suppressing sequence, and a target gene controlled by P1 and the expression suppressing sequence. B. P2, an expression-suppressing gene controlled by P2, P3, the expression-suppressing sequence, and an elimination reaction catalytic enzyme gene controlled by P3 and the expression-suppressing sequence; DNA sequence to be released. (However, P1 is a promoter showing activity in at least callus and a plant tissue in which a target gene is to be expressed, P2 is a promoter showing activity in at least callus, P3 is a promoter showing activity in at least P1 and P2 in plant tissue.
