Method for detecting metastatic cancer cells derived from gastric cancer |
abstract |
A novel marker with high specificity is identified for peritoneal dissemination of gastric cancer or detection of free cancer cells in the peritoneal cavity. A step of collecting a biological sample from a subject, a step of detecting the presence of at least one of aldehyde dehydrogenase and dopa decarboxylase from the biological sample of the subject, and the presence of at least one of aldehyde dehydrogenase and dopa decarboxylase In this case, it is determined that there is a high possibility that gastric cancer-derived metastatic cancer cells are contained in the sample. By using these as markers for metastatic cancer cells derived from gastric cancer, the presence or absence of peritoneal metastasis in gastric cancer patients can be detected quickly and reliably, and it is a powerful tool for deciding whether to apply intraperitoneal cancer chemotherapy.
