titleOfInvention Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and photographing apparatus
abstract An object of the present invention is to correct a person's eyes in a photographed person image and automatically finish a photograph in which the eyes are clearly visible. An eye area detecting unit detects eye areas A1 and A2 based on information on a feature point of a person's face detected by a subject detecting unit 300, and a pupil is detected by a pupil detecting hand unit 412. The degree of opening of the eyes is determined by the degree of opening determination unit 413, the degree of opening of the eyes is corrected by expanding and compressing the image by the degree of opening correction unit 414, and the shape of the pupil is corrected to a substantially circular shape by the pupil correction unit 415. Then, a catch eye is added by the catch eye correction unit 416, and the whiteness of the white eye is corrected by the white eye correction unit 417. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
