titleOfInvention | Optical component by ultraviolet light irradiation, its manufacturing method and manufacturing apparatus |
abstract | An optical component having increased sensitivity to ultraviolet light when a grating is manufactured on an optical component having photosensitivity. An optical fiber having a core having photosensitivity is housed in a high-pressure container, hydrogen is diffused into the optical fiber in an atmosphere of high-pressure hydrogen, and a monochromatic non-coherent UV lamp light is converted into the optical fiber. By irradiating the optical component, an optical component in which the light sensitivity of the core is greatly increased. Then, by storing it in a heated oven 151 and releasing 153 hydrogen from the inside of the core 13, the increased photosensitivity is maintained even when stored for a long time, and the core (without hydrogen) 13 is kept even after storage for a certain period of time. By irradiating the substrate with the coherent UV laser beam 171, a grating (without hydrogen) 11 having a constant period and a high refractive index can be formed. [Selection] Figure 2 |
