abstract | The present invention provides a paint and a metal plate which improve the impact absorption characteristics which cannot be achieved by the prior art. A paint excellent in impact absorption characteristics comprising 100 parts by mass of a binder solid content and 10 to 150 parts by mass of microcapsules containing water or an organic solvent. In addition, a paint excellent in impact absorption properties containing 1 to 150 parts by mass of a conductive pigment. Further, a coating having excellent impact absorption properties, wherein the microcapsules have an average particle size of 50 to 5000 nm and the conductive pigment has an average particle size of 0.5 to 50 μm.
