abstract | An ink jet method is used to form a recorded image with a clear outline, high image density and sharpness, and high quality without causing feathering and color mixing. A silicon-containing polyvinylpyrrolidone is held on the surface and / or inside of a recording medium. When an aqueous ink containing a coloring material used in the ink jet method is ejected to such a recording medium, the coloring material is fixed by the polyvinylpyrrolidone containing silicon, so that the coloring material penetrates more than necessary, diffuses, and spreads.
