abstract | [PROBLEMS] To effectively utilize a used carbon-containing brick, by setting the elastic modulus after heating to a certain value or less, the spalling resistance is higher than that of a conventional product (conventional recycled carbon-containing brick). The present invention provides a recycled carbon-containing brick which has been able to remarkably improve the above, and a method for producing the same. A recycled carbon-containing brick comprising a raw material mixture containing at least a part of a crushed product of a spent waste carbon-containing brick (or the crushed product and an alkali metal compound), which is reduced at 1500 ° C. for 3 hours in a reducing atmosphere. A recycled carbon-containing brick having an elastic modulus after heating of 30 GPa or less.
