A recycled carbon-containing brick comprising a raw material mixture containing at least a part of a crushed product of a spent waste carbon-containing brick (or the crushed product and an alkali metal compound), which is reduced at 1500 ° C. for 3 hours in a reducing atmosphere. A recycled carbon-containing brick having an elastic modulus after heating of 30 GPa or less.
