titleOfInvention Matte coated paper
abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a matte coated paper which improves ink bleeding which is a problem peculiar to matte coated paper, and has low blank gloss and high print gloss. In a matte coated paper having a coating layer containing a pigment and an adhesive on a base paper, a pigment having a particle size distribution containing 60% or more contained in a range of 0.4 to 1.5 μm on a volume basis as a pigment. Matting coating containing 20 parts by weight or more of kaolin having a particle size distribution of not less than 20 parts by weight of heavy calcium carbonate per 100 parts by weight of pigment and not less than 65% in the range of 0.4 to 4.2 μm on a volume basis Papermaking.
