abstract |
An object of the present invention is to provide a technology capable of efficiently treating a methane fermentation residue, which is a residue obtained by subjecting organic waste to methane fermentation, and effectively utilizing the residue together with biogas. The methane fermentation step includes the steps of: methane fermenting an organic waste and collecting generated biogas; a concentration step of concentrating a fermentation residue of the methane fermentation step; and a biogas obtained in the methane fermentation step. A method for treating organic waste, comprising: a cogeneration step of recovering electric power and heat using the fuel as a fuel; and using heat recovered in the cogeneration step as a heat source in the concentration step.
