abstract |
A control method for reliably detecting and compensating for a phase shift between drive signals of an optical modulator with a simple configuration is provided. A control device according to the present invention provides an optical modulator for generating a signal light of a CS-RZ modulation method or the like by two LN modulators connected in series. , 20 is detected by the phase comparator 30, or the phase shift between the drive signals is determined based on the intensity information of the electric spectrum of the signal light output from the optical modulator. The phase of the drive signal is controlled so that the phase shift becomes small.
