abstract Kind Code: A1 Abstract: In various devices having a structure in which at least two glass substrates such as a dye-sensitized solar cell are opposed to each other and their peripheral edges are bonded, when the glass substrates are bonded and sealed by a simple operation. Another object of the present invention is to provide a joint excellent in durability, safety and the like. A first glass substrate (11) and a second glass substrate (12) are overlapped, and a laser beam is irradiated from the side of a peripheral end thereof to melt and bond the glass substrate itself. It is also possible to arrange a laser-absorbing material at the peripheral edge of the glass substrate, irradiate the laser beam to the laser-absorbing material, melt the laser absorbing material, and bond the glass substrate. As such a laser absorber, a material containing a glass component such as a low melting point glass paste or a metal thin film is used. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
